У статті розглянуто становлення
цифрових технологій як невід’ємної
частини середовища міжнародних
відносин і їхню роль під час дипломатичної
кризи, що розгорілася між Катаром та
рядом арабських держав у 2017 – 2021 рр.
This article is aimed to discover the emergence of digital technologies as an integral part of the international relations environment and their role during the diplomatic crisis that erupted between Qatar and a number of Arab states in 2017-2021. Different phenomena, that have revolutionised the field of IR, have also influenced the Gulf countries leading to the high level of their involvement in the information space. The Qatar crisis is a prominent example of conflicts conducted in such space and an illustration of the ICT use in modern competition between states. It has changed the course of relations between Qatar and its neighbours and influenced the development of digital diplomacy in Gulf states.
