Анотація
У статті представлені та проаналізовані деякі переклади біблійних текстів
слов’янськими мовами, що зберігаються у фондах Одеського національного
університету імені І. І. Мечникова.
В Научной библиотеке Одесского национального университета имени И. И. Мечникова хранится ценная коллекция библейских текстов, изданных на разных языках. В статье представлены славянские переводы Библии и библейских текстов. Наличие переводов библейских текстов в фондах Научной библиотеки Одесского национального университета имени И. И. Мечникова свидетельствует о развитии библиотеки как вспомогательного подразделения учреждения высшего образования, ориентированного на обеспечение учебного процесса соответствующей литературой. Опыт христианских церквей показывает, что переводы Священного Писания на современный литературный язык – неотъемлемая часть диалога традиции и современности.
2020 A. D. has been declared Global Year of the Bible. The main goal of such an initiative is to promote translations and editions of Holy Scripture as well as to expand the cultural horizons of mankind. At all times, the Bible was one of the most popular books being translated into different languages and reprinted in all Christian countries. The Scientific Library of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University contains a valuable collection of biblical texts published in different languages. This article presents Slavic translations of the Bible and biblical texts. The presence of translations of biblical texts in the stocks of the of the Scientific Library of Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University can be regarded as an evidence of the development of the Library as an auxiliary subdivision of a higher education institution focused on providing the educational process with appropriate literature. Since Theology was a subject taught at Novorossiysky University, and professors of the department of Theology taught a compulsory course for students of all faculties and special courses on Christianity and other religions, biblical texts in translations were necessary for teaching University disciplines. Significantly fewer biblical texts were acquired by the Library in Soviet times, when Theology as a discipline was not available, but biblical texts were necessary in order to study the History of religion and Atheism. The experience of Christian churches shows that translations of Holy Scripture into modern literary language serve as an integral part of the dialogue between tradition and modernity: translations of the Bible and biblical texts are in demand not only for a more accessible perception of the Word of the Lord by believers, but also for studying the foundations and history of the Christian religion by everybody.
