Статтю присвячено дослідженню та
аналізу політичних аспектів міграційних
процесів в Англії. В роботі також
розглянуто ряд спеціальних мер, що
реалізуються у відношенні до регулювання
напливу великої індуської діаспори у Велику
Британію. Охарактеризовано бачення
міграційного питання автором.
This article is devoted to the study and analysis of political aspects of migration processes in England. The paper also considers a number of special measures implemented in relation to the regulation of the influx of the large Hindu diaspora in the UK. The author’s vision of the migration issue is described. According to the stated material of the article, we can make a conclusion that through years United Kingdom was a number one country for Indian migrants to go. However, today Great Britain is very puzzled by the large number of migrants of the Indian diaspora in their territories. Anxiety is most likely caused by the position taken by migrants in society, as well as passive and active participation in the political life of the country; Indians not only influence the results of opinion polls, but also have representation in parliament. Measures to reduce the influx of migrants from India were first introduced in 1962 through the adoption of the Commonwealth Immigration Act. The news received the greatest response in 2013, when Nick Clegg proposed strengthening immigration policies by introducing a fine for migrants from “undesirable” countries. However, the law never entered into force due to public disapproval. Today, against the backdrop of Britain’s leaving from the European Union and the closure of borders, the country plans to introduce a new system for earning points for all migrants - this not only doesn’t violate the rights of Indian migrants, but will also significantly reduce their influx, starting from 2021.
