Abstract: Chernozem (black soils) represents over 90 % of Odessa Region area. About 80 % of the area in the region is ploughed up. The main chemical, physico-chemical and biochemical processes in the soils relates to formation-accumulation-mineralization of humic substances, dissolution-migration-accumulation and exchange – absorption of substances and elements of mineral origin, gaseous-atmospheric fixation and emission etc.
