Анотація
У статті досліджуються прізвища болгарських поселенців Півдня України, вмотивовані
топонімами. Відтопонімні прізвища болгарських переселенців спроможні дати важливу
інформацію про напрями та інтенсивність давніх міграційних процесів людності в Болгарії, про
етногенез українських болгар. Таких прізвищ серед болгар досліджуваного регіону трохи більше
3 % загальної кількості. Серед них є субстантивні та ад’єктивні утворення з суфіксами -ли, -лия,
-лиев, -ський, -цький, -ов, -єць, -ян, -ар, -жи. Вони засвідчують місцеві імена Східної Болгарії,
утворені від ойконімів, які в Болгарії зосереджені на Південному Сході та на Півночі.
Locational anthroponymy, the study of anthroponyms with regard to geographical area, is one of the crucial branches of onomastics. In this aspect, these are surnames that are the most comprehensively studied. The objective of the study is to determine whether onomastic data (in particular, locational anthroponymy) can determine and specify the resettlement place of residents from a certain region. The object of the study is the surnames of Bulgarian settlers in the South of Ukraine. The subject of the study is the surnames of Bulgarian settlers derived from toponyms, the toponymic surnames. The Bulgarian researchers highlight that the Bulgarians had no surnames throughout XVIII-XIX centuries. In other words, legal stabilization of the studied surnames took place in the South of Ukraine. The toponymic names of the Bulgarian settlers provide important information about the directions and intensity of bygone migration process of the population in Bulgaria and the ethnogenesis of the Ukrainian Bulgarians. Bulgarian toponymic surnames in the studied region make up just over 3 percent of the total number. They are presented by substantivized and adjectival forms. The substantivized surnames include only 5 examples (Hramatyk, Karalash, Kairak, Chokla, Many), the others are suffixal toponymic units in a form of a noun or an adjective with such suffixes as -skyi, -tskyi, -ov, -zhy and -ly, -lyev, their stems identifying the origin of the corresponding family progenitors. The most frequent surnames are toponymic forms with suffixes -ly, -lyia, -lyev: Akderly, Aftarly, Burhazly, Baralyia, Karasely, Kyryzly, Malashly, Perely, Sadaklyev, Saitarly, Takatly, Ushanly, Khaidarly, Chytakly. They are followed by surnames with suffixes -skyi, -tskyi: Alavatskyi, Brazarskyi, Bakaltskyi, Zahorskyi, Machynskyi, Neikovskyi, Parkanskyi, Romalyiskyi, Rupskyi, Razlozhskyi, Sarabeiskyi. Some toponymic surnames have the suffix -ov: Adzharov, Koshkov, Myrzov, Myrzulov, Saranov, Strumov, Tuzlukov, Urhachev and the compound word Chehlatonev. The suffixes -yets, -yan, -ar, -zhy designating males are used in such surnames: Marashliiets, Rakhmanzhy, Ardelian, Oltian, Vaislar. They indicate local names in the East of Bulgaria, which are formed from oeconyms situated in the Southeast and North Bulgaria (the area above the Danube).
