Abstract: 3d-Metals complexes with carboxylic acid hydrazides are a fairly well-studied class of coordination compounds.In this paper, the interaction of cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc valerates and benzoates with phenylacethydrazide (L) was studied. 7 Complexes of the composition [ML3](RCOO)2 (R = C4H9-, M = Co, Ni, Zn, R = C6H5-, M = Co, Cu, Zn) and [NiL3](RCOO)2. 4H2O have been isolated by the interaction of a methanolic solution of the corresponding 3d-metal carboxylate with an aqueous solution of phenylacethydrazide with heating.
