Abstract: It is evident that any language changes as the centuries pass. It concerns not only its phonetic system or its vocabulary. The same principle applies to the grammatical system of a language, including its syntax, too. Old English was an inflected language, the relation among words in a sentence being reflected with the help of terminations.
