Анотація
У статті робиться спроба застосування асоціативного експерименту у дослідженні поетонімосфери циклу романів С. Мейєр „Сутінки”. Матеріалом
дослідження послугували результати опитування англомовних інформантів
щодо асоціативного наповнення власних назв головних героїв. Виокремлено
основні типи асоціацій, на основі яких встановлено структуру асоціативного
поля цих поетонімів.
В статье делается попытка применить метод свободного ассоциативного эксперимента к анализу поэтонимосферы саги С. Мейер „Сумерки”. Данное исследование базируется на результатах опроса носителей английского языка касательно ассоциативной оценки личных имен главных героев произведения.
In the article an attempt is made to apply an associative experiment to the study of poetonymic sphere in S. Meyer’s saga „Twilight”. The present investigation is based on the results of native English speakers’ survey as to the associative valuation of the main characters’ personal names. The aim of the present investigation is to introduce the method of the free associative experiment into the literary onomastics studies, which clarifies and enhances understanding of the semantic aura of poetonyms. The object of the investigation is the poetonymic sphere of the „Twilight” Saga by S. Meyer. The subject is the associative field of the anthroponyms, which identify the main characters of the literary work in question. The material of the present article embraces the results of the free associative experiment, which was carried out in three stages, each concentrated on one of the three names. As the stimuli for the experiment the names Edward, Bella and Jacob were selected, representing each of the races: people, vampires and werewolves. The types of reactions were differentiated, which allowed us to outline the associative structure of the analyzed proper names.
В статье делается попытка применить метод свободного ассоциативного эксперимента к анализу поэтонимосферы саги С. Мейер „Сумерки”. Данное исследование базируется на результатах опроса носителей английского языка касательно ассоциативной оценки личных имен главных героев произведения.
