Анотація
В статті аналізується обрядовий дискурс українського весілля. Основна
увага приділяється виявленню символічних значень у лексемі ВОДА в межах
весільного обряду, що пов’язані з особливостями міфологічного світосприйняття праукраїнців. Виділяється домінантне значення у полісемічній
лексемі вода, також описуються символічні значення словосполучень: холодна вода; студена вода; копати криницю, подавати воду на руки тощо.
В статье анализируется обрядовый дискурс украинской традиционной свадьбы. Внимание фокусируется на многозначности символических значений лексемы ВОДА, которые проявляются в ритуалах по ходу свадебного обряда и связаны с особенностями мифологического мышления предков. Выделена доминанта в многозначной лексеме вода ; также рассматриваются символические значения в словосочетаниях: холодная вода, студеная вода, копать колодец, подавать воду для мытья рук и подобных.
The aim of the research is to detect the symbolic meanings of the polysemantic word water, their being present in the discourse of the traditional wedding ceremony of the Ukrainians. The subject of the research is specific symbolic meanings of Water, which can be revealed within the context of the Ukrainian wedding. In this article we use the archetypal method based on the typical peculiarities of mythological worldview of people in prehistoric period. The consciousness of our ancestors had the following characteristics: lifeless objects had anthropomorphous features, for example, water could be alive and dead. Ceremonial discourse, in particular wedding ceremony, acquired sacred meaning, object symbols acquired the same meaning. Water (like Fire) was sacred for our ancestors, it had different symbolic meanings in the context of the wedding ceremony. The dominant meaning was the meaning of feminine principle or a girl, a woman in general. The symbol of youth, girlish beauty and health was cold water. A swan or a duck, which lived in water, also symbolized a girl or a woman. A bride after wedding went to live in the house of her husband. This passage was symbolized by a river (the Danube), which they had to cross. The actions with water before the wedding also had some symbolic meanings: to give a boy some water to drink, to wash hands or her face meant to agree to marry him, to reveal her love for him. To dig a well meant to love a girl, be ready to marry her. The traditional symbolic action with water was (and these action are still present today) to pour water on the road for a married couple to cross it or to overturn a bucket of water, which meant happy domestic life. The revealing of symbolic meanings in the ceremonial discourse of Ukrainians is perspective and necessary.
