The electrodemodified by poly-9,10-phenanthrenequinone (poly-PQ) was studied by means of cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The poly-PQ shows variations in growth pattern depending on the number of potential cycles for the initiation of polymerization. Formed poly-PQ layer demonstrates good electric conductivity, great degree of electrochemical capacitance and unique oxidation/reduction properties, which are suitable for broad technological applications, including applicability in biosensors, supercapacitors and in some other electrochemical systems. Interaction of TIO2 nanoparticles and proteins Of an immune complex in photoluminescence Based biosensor(Одеський національний університет імені І. І. It has been investigated an interaction between nanostructured semiconductor thin layers and immune complex based proteins that is a fundamental issue of the formation of nanobiointerface in the various biosensors, in particular, optical biosensors. In this work, the main aspects of the interaction between photoluminescent TiO2 nanoparticles and Bovine leucosis virus (BLV) protein gp51, used as a model protein, during the formation of photoluminescence based immunosensor have been discussed. The antigens of gp51 were immobilized on the surface of a nanostructured TiO2 thin film formed on the glass substrates. As a result, an increase of the photoluminescence (PL) signal intensity and PL peak shift from 517 nm to 499 nm were observed. An incubation of TiO2/gp51 structure in a solution containing anti-gp51 antibodies resulted in the backward PL peak shift from 499 nm to 516 nm and decrease of the PL intensity. The main reason of the changes in the PL spectra (i.e. PL maxima shifts and PL intensity variations) as a result of BLV protein gp51 adsorption on the surface TiO2 thin film is an electrostatic interaction between negatively charged surface of TiO2 and positively charged atoms and groups provided by the adsorbed gp51 protein due to the presence of partial uncompensated charges within the proteins. Metal Oxide Based Biosensors for the Detection of Dangerous Biological Compounds(2016) Tereshchenko, Alla V.; Smyntyna, Valentyn A.; Konup, Ihor P.; Geveliuk, S. A.; Starodub, M. F.; In this report an application of some metal oxide nanostructures as a biosensor platform for the detection of dangerous biological compounds (Bovine leucosis, Salmonella) have been discussed. The attention is paid to the TiO2 nanoparticles and ZnO nanorods deposited on the flat surface. The changes in photoluminescense signal from nanostructured surface were applied as biosensor response to detect the analytes. The detection range of TiO2 based biosensor for Bovine leucosis antibodies was in the range of 2–10 g/ml. The detection range of ZnO based biosensor for Salmonella antigens was 102–106 cells/ml. The obtained results provide a good basis for the use of optical properties of metal oxide based semiconductor nanostructures in biosensor technology. Optical and structural properties of TіO2 nanofibers prepared by the electrospinning method(2011) Tereshchenko, Alla V.; Kusevitch, A.; Viter, Roman V.; Smyntyna, Valentyn A.; Buk, J.; Macak, J. І. The work is focused on technology and characterization issues of silicon pillar nanostructures in combination with metal oxides, such as ZnO and TiO2, for various applications in field of biosensor and solar energy. The metal-assisted chemical etching method (MACE) modified with latex nanobeads lithography and spin-coating technique, was used to fabricate the uniform silicon nanopillar arrays. Atomic layer deposition technique (ALD) which is utilized for formation of oxide layers displays uniform coverage of the arrays and provides thin film formation independently on surface peculiarities. Therefore, it can be applied both for planar samples and 3D patterned substrates with porous media.Документ TiO2-porphyrin nanostructures for amino acid detection(Одесский национальный университете имени И. И. A novel optical sensor based on TiO2 nanoparticles for Valine (one of the twenty standard amino acids within proteins) detection has been developed. In the presented work, commercial TiO2nanoparticles (Sigma Aldrich, particle size 32 nm) were used as sensor templates. The sensitive layer was formed by a porphyrin coating on a TiO2 nanostructured surface. As a result, an amorphous layer between the TiO2 nanostructure and porphyrin was formed. Photoluminescence (PL) spectra were measured in the range of 370-900 nm before and after porphyrin application. Porphyrin adsorption led to a decrease of the main TiO2 peak at 510 nm and the emergence of an additional peak of high intensity at 700 nm. Absorption spectra (optical density vs. wavelenght, measured from 300 to 800 nm) also showed great changes; absorption edge shift and additional peaks appearing. Adsorption of amino acid resulted in a decrease of the intensity of the PL peak due to porphyrin and an increase of intensity of the TiO2 main PL peak. The interaction between the sensor surface and the amino acid leads to the formation of new complexes on the surface and results in a reduction of the optical activity of porphyrin. Sensitivity of the sensor with respect to different concentrations of Valine was calculated. The developed sensor can determine the consentration of Valine in the range of 0.04 to 0.16 mg/ml. Tuning the Photo-Luminescence Properties of WO3 Layers by the Adjustment of Layer Formation Conditions(2020) Petruleviciene, Milda; Juodkazyte, Jurga; Parvin, Maliha; Tereshchenko, Alla V.; Ramanavicius, Simonas; Karpicz, Renata; Samukaite-Bubniene, Urte; Ramanavicius, Arunas; In this research we have applied sol-gel synthesis for the deposition of tungsten (VI) oxide (WO3) layers using two di erent reductants (ethanol and propanol) and applying di erent dipping times. WO3 samples were characterized by X-ray di raction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), photoluminescence (PL) and time-resolved photoluminescence decay methods. Photoelectrochemical (PEC) behaviour of synthesized coatings was investigated using cyclic voltammetry in the dark and under illumination. Formation of di erent structures in di erently prepared samples was revealed and significant di erences in the PL spectra and PEC performance of the samples were observed. The results showed that reductant used in the synthesis and dipping time strongly influenced photo-electrochemical properties of the coatings. Correlation between the morphology, PL and PEC behaviour has been explained. ZnO thin films as a platform for optical immunosensors devoted for determination of GVA-antigen(2016) Tereshchenko, Alla V.; Fedorenko, V.; Smyntyna, Valentyn A.; Konup, Ihor P.; Konup, A.; Eriksson, M.; Yakimova, R.; Ramanavicius, A.; Balme, S.; Bechelany, Mikhael; Optical immunosensor for the determination of Grapevine virus A-type (GVA) proteins (GVAantigens) has been developed [1]. The immunosensor was based on thin films of ZnO (100 nm thickness) formed by atomic layer deposition (ALD). The ZnO-based films have demonstrated good surface-structural properties for the absorption of antibodies (anti-GVA) against GVAantigens in order to form a biosensitive layer. The absorption of anti-GVA antibodies resulted in new photoluminescence band appearance in the region of 400-550 nm that can be caused by the formation of some chemical bounds during the anti-GVA adsorption on ZnO surface [2]. The possibility to detect GVA-antigens without additional labels (e.g enzymes or fluorescent dyes) has been demonstrated. The GVA-antigen detection was performed by the evaluation of changes and behavior of the photoluminescence band, related to protein adsorption (Fig. 1). The sensitivity of as-formed label-free biosensor towards the GVA-antigens was determined in the range from 1 pg/ml to 10 ng/ml; in addition, the selectivity of biosensor was evaluatedДокумент Вплив адсорбції біомолекул на оптичні властивості наноструктурованих плівок ТІО2(Одеський національний університет імені І. І.
